Position: One Year Assistant Professor – Chemistry


Eastern Connecticut State University is seeking a qualified candidate to fill the One Year Assistant Professor – Chemistry position. Eastern is Connecticut’s Public Liberal Arts University and is located in Willimantic, Connecticut which is 1.5 hours from Boston and 2.5 hours from New York City. Eastern is one of four universities in the Connecticut State College and University System (CSCU). The position also offers substantial health and retirement benefits.

QUALIFICATIONS:
PhD in Chemistry is required. The ideal candidate should have a strong commitment to undergraduate teaching and experience teaching General Chemistry Lectures and Laboratories. Ability to instruct other advanced chemistry courses and experience with STEM education preferred.

POSITION DESCRIPTION:
  • This position provides instruction in courses required for students majoring in Biochemistry, Biology, Environmental Earth Science, Health Sciences and Nursing.
  • Teaching responsibilities will include 12 load credits per semester teaching lecture and lab courses in general chemistry.
