Eastern Connecticut State University is seeking a qualified candidate to fill the Visiting Assistant Professor of Political Science position. Eastern is Connecticut’s Public Liberal Arts University and is located in Willimantic, Connecticut which is 1.5 hours from Boston and 2.5 hours from New York City.  Eastern is one of four universities in the Connecticut State College and University System (CSCU). The position also offers substantial health and retirement benefits.

Qualifications: PhD in Political Science, broad expertise in American policy and politics and methodology.
Position Description: The department seeks a visiting assistant professor for the 2026-2027 academic year, who can teach 4 courses per semester in American public policy and/or politics and can teach • quantitative or qualitative methods (both preferred).

Compensation and Employee Benefits:
The Visiting Assistant Professor of Political Science is compensated at the Assistant Professor salary level in accordance with Connecticut State University American Association of University Professors (CSU-AAUP) Collective Bargaining Unit Agreement.
